To Anna & her amazing staff

We came to the park today, three generations from 8 - 65yrs! I just wanted to express my greatest thanks for a truly brilliant day.

I loved watching the kids kneel on the floor with wallaby food, patiently trying to subliminally coax them over, and the giggling about 'Emu' and the, 'is it related to Turkey?' conversation.
The rhino were the main reason I wanted to visit. I was thrilled to meet a keeper who not only was able to answer questions about your lads but was so obviously passionate about his job. If he gets to read this, I'm the one that made the distinction between rhino and unicorn horns! ;0)

We all loved watching Steve, Lisa and Bryn. I am so glad you kept the other cage as a constant reminder, it led to a brilliant conversation between the children about wild animals, zoos and conservation! Something that will remain with the four of them for life I hope.

The older members of the party were wowed by not only the family friendly atmosphere but the discreet attention to detail like the cockle shells we walked on, the giant wooden seats and the real branch door handles. I am particularly jealous of the willow weaving!
Nana commented your coffee was the very best she had drunk from a paper cup, and I really think the opportunity to be able to have a proper cuppa and a chat on the lawn while peacocks roam amongst us and the children play on trikes and space hoppers is one of the best gifts to parents and carers!

We wandered, we sat, we talked, we learnt...and on leaving we upgraded our tickets to 'Double Bubble' for six of us!
I'm hoping my parents will pop in and wander without children, that my youngest and I will make the trip regularly straight from school, and that my teenagers enjoy the freedom the park provides but with great facilities, they are already hoping you take work experience placements?

I read the website, and in all honesty it just doesn't do you guys justice, please keep it that way, its a wonderful surprise! I intend to bring our friends and relations here and people I work with just because I know you have struck the balance right.

Many Thanks

Jo

Message: 46 Came to the park today
We came to the park as a party of 46 today (07/07/12) and am very impressed with what I saw in the park. I am an animal lover and don't like animals stuck in cages with small space to move around, but your place is fantastic . I love where you can walk through some of the enclosures and the natural space the animals have is wonderful. Peacocks roaming and children enjoying the bikes, space hoppers etc, just fab! Will return when Rhino's arrive.

Message: Have the rhinos arrived yet?

My daughter (Sophia 8) adopted Bryn at Easter, she thought she could take him home for a while!! She wants to come again to see him and I'd like to visit when the rhinos are there.
Srr you soon!
 Andy

PS the mobility scooters are a fab idea

The Rhino are almost here! Follow the countdown on the home page! Bryn cant wait to see Sophia again!

Message: A wonderful day out for all of us

This is the second time we have visited the wildlife park in a year, and enjoyed it as much today as last time. My husband has MS and so has mobility issues, the park offers the hire of a mobility scooter, which was invaluable. The work that is being done at the park to ensure the animals are happy and in their natural habitat as much as they can be in captivity, is wonderful. All of the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and Anna was around again today mucking in! The new addition in the gibbon compound, Bryn, is beautiful, we wanted to take him home. The walk through areas are amazing, and we eagerly await the arrival of the two rhinos. The cafe is beautiful too, the four of us had a lovely lunch for £25, including drinks. At the end of our visit, we adopted Bryn for the year. Well done Anna and her team, we will be back very soon!

Message: Just a small message to let you know...

...how much my family and I enjoyed a visit to your park over the easter holidays. We were really impressed with how clean all the animal pens were and being able to roam around with certain animals i.e the goats and sheep my 3 year old son had a lovely cuddle with one of the goats. We also loved the giant wooden chairs at the top or the park. And lastly the freedom the children had on the lawn at the front of the house on the trikes and space hoppers provided they were a real blast from the past for the adult! Oh and the hay barn how can we forget that I think the adults had as much fun as the children we came home with some wicked photos . thankyou for a great day out look forward to visiting you next year and good luck with the park in the future we ll be passing on our lovely experience to all our friends
love and best wishes from the sawyers x

Message: Dear Anna and all,

Having seen your amazing Park on TV, we kept saying that one day we would travel down from Lake Vyrnwy, North Powys in Wales (Over 3 hours away). The kids finally persuaded us to visit you in the half term holiday.

Waw - we were so glad that we listened to them!! We were really, really impressed with the entire presentation, the work being carried out by your animal programmes and the way in which you keep your animals in a friendly, natural environment. The shell pathways were a brill idea and your cafe & play areas were extremely well though out. Thank you so much for such a memorable day and we wished we lived nearer. The kids were so pleased to see "Steve" and fell in love with the goats & S. African sheep, which they now want me to buy some on our small holding!!

Many thanks, and we hope to return again some day.

Message: Thank you for a fabulous day

we have wanted to come and see the park for so long and were waiting for a sunny day (rare in our part of Wales, Swansea!). I have never enjoyed going to zoos/animal parks even as a child and have not taken my children to many - but my girls are animal mad (eldest had 8 rabbits in her small London house/yard in the recent past, until I rehomed 4 of them in Wales and youngest had a hamster until recently) and we are already planning our next visit. We loved the lemurs and meerkats and Dolly with her Essex accent (I'm an Essex girl). Thank you so much, excellent place, excellent food and wine (love the NZ selection very unexpected pleasant surprise) and music in the cafe - singing by Colin was not too bad either. Keep up the good work and hope to visit again nearer to Christmas xxx

Message: Hey keepers, Anna, Colin and the team.

We visited today and had a great time -we last came about two years ago and Steve was just getting used to Lisa and climbing trees so how amazing to visit today and see the whole family - we summised they are more photographed than the beckhams! Lovely to see the place again which us testament to Anna and colins big love for the animals. A pregnant tortoiseshell pigmy goat took a shine to me and cath dispelled her paranoia about peacocks chasing her after a disturbing incident being chased into the cafe at Cardiff castle ! Anyway thank you and please tell us the name of Steve and lisas child! Ps the cawl was lovely too!

Message: We visited Manor House yesterday...

...18 years after our last visit - and had a great day. Our daughters (now 22 and 20) regressed to childhood - as did we! We all loved the changes - especially with the proximity to the animals and the feel of the new buildings with the lovely use of wood and natural materials.

On top of everything else can I just say how much we appreciate the use of local ingredients in the restaurant and the utilisation of the Welsh language signage. Keep investing - sustainability and survival exist beyond genetics!

Diolch!

Message: Hi Anna

We've just returned from a fab day out at your place. Got to be the best wildlife park I've ever been to, I usually find myself feeling sorry for all the animals I have just seen, but with yours I feel you have given them some brilliant habitats whilst also enabling us to get a good look at them. The baby meerkats were our favourites, although the wallaby and lemur walk throughs came a close 2nd. You have provided lots of seating throughout the park but there isn't any down at the marmosets, which is a shame as it is such a beautiful setting and we could have happily sat there for quite a while (my 3 yr and 5 yr old included) as there was so much birdlife around the pond.

Anyway we just thought we would let you know how great the park is, your hard work can be seen everywhere you look, including all the gorgeous plants around the place and the interesting bamboo architecture.
Thank you for a great day.
From The Pentecost family.
P.S. What is Lisa and Steves baby called?

Tuesday 31st May

My daughter and I visited you all on Tuesday 31st May and had the best day out that we've had in a very long time!! Since watching the TV show my daughter has been desperate to visit!! We loved everything...my daughter (Ellie) loved the Tapirs (who were hiding in their house so we had to revisit them later in the day!) I was very impressed with how child friendly everything was, especially the bikes and spacehoppers in the garden and chalkboard and toys in the restaurant!!

We bumped into Anna the next day in Tenby and told her how fab we thought it was...(hope she didn't mind being stopped by two over enthusiastic people!!) The one thing that really made it for me was being able to walk amongst the animals and how free and happy they all are. We cannot wait to return to see everything again! Thankyou again for such a wonderful day. Kind regards, Joanna + Ellie Ruiz

Ah, that's lovely! I remember seeing you in Tenby! Rio, our female tapir is about to give birth, so she's spending a lot of time lolling in her house - and husband Tommy seems to think he's pregnant too. She lolls back, legs akimbo, then he does the same!

Message: Just got back from a super day with you at Manor house. Really enjoyed the gardens and freedom the animals have. Felt it was good value with non of the usual rip off prices. Very encouraging to see the work being carried out to support endangered species. Steve also gave a good show on his island along with Lisa and off spring.

Hope things continue to go well and we look forward to coming back to see progress. Jessica, Debbie and James

Thanks to you all - you keep us going! Anna x

Dear Anna

I thought you might like to see these photos. We have had a lot of enjoyment visiting your Wildlife Park and look forward to coming again.  As my husband and I are season ticket holders that makes it very easy!  Thank you. Best wishes for every success.

Hilary,

These are the best pictures of Steve and Lisa I've seen. Brilliant! Thankyou - we'll post them in the gallery and on our Facebook pages so everybody can see what a talented photographer you are.

Your Brilliant Park by Donna Sebury:

"Hi, I'm not sure if this is going to go to the right place , but on monday my self and mother and my daughter visited your park and i just wanted to let you know that we all had an amazing time , we really enjoyd the organic / natural feeling of the park and couldn't belive how relaxed i felt - wasnt like what normally happens in zoos, theme park noise ! loads of fast food ! lots of people.

We took a picnic and my daughter really enjoyed playing on the lawn with the cars, tents and bikes which i think is brilliant, my self and my mother chilled out there with my daughter for about an hour.

Fair play the way the animals are keep is brilliant i didnt feel as if they were enclosed or caged which is really important and also where in this country would you be able to get up close and personaly with a lemur and wallabys AMAZING.

My partner also spent the day with Andy Davies your photographer on his course he couldnt stop talking about it, he said that he was very professional and was very very keen to pass on advice. i would like to Thank Andy Davies and everyone working at your park even the staff at the restaurant for making our day we really enjoyed it. i will def be coming back and will be recommending to friends aswell

Thanks again

Donna"
