Conservation

The Scimitar Horned Oryx, a species of antelope, are listed as critically endangered on the IUCN Red List (1996).  they have been hunted to extinction in the wild for their magnificent horns. Originating from the grasslands of Northern Central Africa, our friends in Fota Zoo have chosen Manor House as the new home of three females, arriving early 2010 - this is a real tribute to how hard everybody at Manor House has worked over the past couple of years to bring about real changes.
